Advancing Cooperation to Address the Impacts of Hydroclimatic Extreme Events
From 10 to 12 November 2026, the Horizon Europe SD-WISHEES project will host its Final Conference in Tbilisi, Georgia, bringing together researchers, policymakers, cultural heritage professionals, research funding organisations, international organisations, and other key stakeholders to address safeguarding cultural heritage from the growing impacts of hydroclimatic extreme events.
The conference will provide a platform to present the project’s key achievements while exploring future research, innovation, and policy priorities at the Water-Climate-Cultural Heritage (WCCH) Nexus.
Designed as a hybrid, multi-stakeholder event, the conference will foster dialogue and collaboration between European and international partners, with a particular focus on strengthening cooperation with the Balkans and Africa.
Day II (11 November 2026) hosts the SD-WISHEES Showcase Event, organised by CMCC — a marketplace, poster session and speed-networking matchmaking for projects, tools and results at the Water-Climate-Cultural Heritage Nexus. If you would like to present your work, the call for contributions is open.
