Reimagining the Future of African Heritage with Innovation and Collaboration

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this event an incredible success!

To organising teams, our partners, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), and Swahilipot Hub—our welcoming hosts in the historic and vibrant city of Mombasa, Kenya.

From November 25 to 29, we came together to explore, learn, and reimagine the future of African heritage, with a focus on innovation, representation, and sustainability. Inspired by Agenda 2063 for Africa and aligned with the important work of the African Union Culture Division, the event aimed to support local communities and professionals working in diverse heritage fields, including vernacular and earthen architecture, cultural landscapes, intangible heritage, and rights-based approaches to heritage.

Asante sana, Mombasa! 🌍
